Christmas magic is in danger

Chapter 1: Santa’s getting ready to deliver Christmas gifts all over the world

Clear blue sky and peaceful snow-covered pinewood extended as far as the eye could see on a December day in Lapland. However, Santa’s lodge was bustling with activity as elves feverishly prepared Christmas presents and cards for kids all across the world. Santa was at his desk, deep in thought as he mapped out the most efficient path for his sleigh to take this year as he delivered gifts to children all across the world. “I think I’ll start my trip in Alaska and head towards the west so that I’ll make it to Australia before it’s Christmas there, and then we might rest on the coast. Yes, that does sound like a good plan!”— he thought.

Then, he gathered his 11 elves to help him load up the sleigh with presents for the big Christmas trip. Santa clothed the reindeer in warm clothing and double-checked the sleigh’s condition one last time before the elves hopped into the back. Finally, he prepared some hot apple and cinnamon tea, gingerbread, apples, and some cinnamon almonds for the elves and himself and put carrots in his pockets for the reindeer.

Are you all set to bring joy to the faces of children all over the world?” Santa asked his little helpers. The elves responded with a resounding “Yes!

So, let’s get going! Hohohohohoho!

Then, he signaled the reindeer, and they gently ascended toward the Moon and turned their course toward Alaska.

Chapter 2: Christmas magic is in danger

The journey toward Alaska was smooth. Reindeers were fast, the breeze was sweet and puffy clouds were very comfortable to take some rest on. As they were flying across the sky, a gigantic shooting star crashed into the sleigh, knocking out the backup engine. The sleigh is an incredible vehicle, having carried presents and cheer to children for centuries and covering countless miles without a hitch. This accident grieved Santa since he knew that the reindeer could not complete their worldwide Christmas journey without the backup engine. Even worse, if they could not figure out a way to fix it, Christmas won’t be as magical for the kids.

Quick“, he told himself, “I must find the nearest sleigh workshop.” He pulled out his magic map to find the nearest sleigh workshop.“It’s right there; within 10 miles. My reindeer should have no problem with that. We need to hurry because children are waiting for us!

These 10 miles felt like an eternity as Santa’s mind raced with worried thoughts of disappointing children all across the world. As Santa reached the workshop, he was greeted by Gizmo Gremlin, the well-known sleigh mechanic in the Northern hemisphere. Gizmo was overjoyed because he was finally going to get to see Santa and his sleigh.

Chapter 3: Gizmo, the super-mechanic

Gizmo: Hello Santa! I am Gizmo, and am so glad to meet you! I can see that your engine has failed. Don’t fret, I’ve got this covered.

Santa: Hello, Gizmo. Thank heavens I stumbled into your workshop; I need your help as soon as possible because I have a long journey ahead of me!

Gizmo: Worry over nothing! Have a seat, and I’ll get you some gingerbread cookies. I’ll fix your sleigh while you finish up with some hot cocoa!

The two chatted about new technologies in automotive while Gizmo worked on the engine. Gizmo was pleasantly surprised by Santa’s interest in the digital world.

Gizmo: Aesthetically, your sleigh has aged beautifully with the patina of a billion miles of use. However, future maintenance may become more difficult. As I admire your efforts so much, I’d be happy to provide you with cutting-edge solutions for sleigh maintenance that will make owning your sleigh a breeze. From now on, you will not have to worry at all about its technical health or maintenance.

Santa cocked his head in surprise, “That sounds quite wonderful,” because he had never heard anything like it.

Santa: The thought that I would be late delivering gifts because of this engine issue was incredibly frightening. Please tell me more about this technology.

Gizmo: Sure! In a few minutes, I’ll connect your sleigh’s CAN-bus system with that massive cloud up there. With this, I can foresee any problems with your sleigh and fix them before they become a problem for you. Additionally, I will provide you with a mobile app that will allow us to communicate with one another quickly and effortlessly. With this app, you can keep track of your travels, analyze your sleigh-driving techniques, and contact emergency services in case snow blocks your way. Oh, and the best part is that you can monitor your driving score so that you don’t break the silence of the night sky and children won’t notice you while working. Additionally, there are connected workshops all around the world, so you never have to worry about maintenance anymore.

Chapter 4: Connectivity saves the magic!

When Santa heard what the smart mechanic had to say, he was blown away! He immediately said yes to getting connected. Once Gizmo hooked up the sleigh to the cloud, billions of digits and letters began to flow from the sleigh and onto the sky. The elves stared at it in astonishment. “Ready to go! No longer will you have to be concerned with Christmas gift deliveries. Your sleigh is in good hands! If I see something problematic with it, I will let you know through the app. It’s not too late to save the Christmas magic!”, Gizmo chimed in.

Santa checked the time. They had spent only 30 minutes with Gizmo. He felt tremendous relief and joy. He hugged Gizmo, handed him a small gift, hopped onto the sleigh with the elves, and then they vanished. Santa’s first stop in Alaska was promptly reached on his newly repaired sleigh. Using Gizmo’s connected technology was a delight for him. Santa kept a log of his travels and even got a better score for his driving. Every once in a while, Gizmo sent him a message assuring him that his sleigh was operating perfectly.
Santa and his elf helpers had their hands full with all the present deliveries, but everything went off without a hitch.

The children’s faces lit up with joy as they first glanced at the Christmas tree and all the gifts beneath it on Christmas Eve.
After delivering their last present, Santa and his elves took a break in Australia to rejoice and unwind.

This, my friends, is how connectivity helped save the magic of Christmas for children all around the world.
